Amala Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) named after Blessed Virgin Mary, is a multidisciplinary medical network of pedagogical, therapeutic, research and outreach programmes. AIMS traces its origin to Amala Cancer Hospital which was started in 1978. It is managed by the Devamatha Province of CMI Congregation founded by St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara. Amala Institute of Medical Sciences is a Private college incepted in the year . The Institute provides BVSC, MVSC, PG Diploma and UG Diploma courses across multiple streams. It's a service-oriented professional course, so don't expect placements like engineering. Although all alumni I have met till date are doing well. Having a MBBS degree does open a lot of paths. Amala Institute is famous for cancer research so that also adds value to studying here.
