Amala Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) named after Blessed Virgin Mary, is a multidisciplinary medical network of pedagogical, therapeutic, research and outreach programmes. AIMS traces its origin to Amala Cancer Hospital which was started in 1978. It is managed by the Devamatha Province of CMI Congregation founded by St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara. It's a service-oriented professional course, so don't expect placements like engineering. Although all alumni I have met till date are doing well. Having a MBBS degree does open a lot of paths. Amala Institute is famous for cancer research so that also adds value to studying here.
