The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon start the registration process for NEET UG 2026. Candidates who want admission to undergraduate medical courses like MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS, and BNYS must appear for this exam. The application form will be available online on the official website neet.nta.nic.in.
Notification & Important Dates
The official notification for NEET UG 2026 is expected to be released around February 2026. Along with the notification, details about registration dates, correction window, exam date, and admit card will be announced.
New Rules for NEET UG 2026
The exam will be held in the traditional NEET format, not in multiple phases.
Candidates will not be allowed to choose their exam city. The exam centre will be allotted automatically based on the Aadhaar address.
The number of MBBS seats and medical colleges is increasing.
NEET may become compulsory for more medical and healthcare courses from the 2026–27 session.
A clear tie-breaking rule will be announced for students who score the same marks.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must be 17 years old by 31 December 2026.
Must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
Minimum marks required:
50% for General category
40% for reserved categories
Indian citizens, NRIs, OCI, PIO, and foreign candidates can apply.
