MMMUT Introduces AI and Cyber Forensics Minor Courses for B.Tech Students

Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT), Gorakhpur, has introduced minor programs in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cyber Forensics for B.Tech students for the first time. These newly launched courses aim to equip engineering students with skills in emerging and future-oriented technologies.

The minor program is mandatory for all B.Tech students and carries a total of 20 credits. It is structured into five subjects, with each subject worth four credits. Through this initiative, the university seeks to enhance students’ technical expertise in areas such as AI, Cyber Forensics, and digital well-being.

Along with these technology-focused minors, MMMUT has also rolled out three new management-related minor courses for engineering students, encouraging a broader, interdisciplinary approach to education.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. J.P. Saini highlighted that the university is developing state-of-the-art laboratories across various departments and promoting interdisciplinary learning. He added that fields like Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Forensics are expected to play a crucial role in the future, which is why the university is giving them special priority.
