New Delhi, January 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the latest updates for JEE Main 2026, providing clarity to candidates appearing for one of India’s most important engineering entrance exams.
According to the official announcements, JEE Main 2026 will be conducted in two sessions. The first session is scheduled from January 21 to 30, 2026, while the second session will take place from April 2 to 9, 2026. Candidates for Session 1 have already received their exam city and center details through the city intimation slips, released on January 8, 2026.
The NTA also completed the application correction window, allowing students to rectify any mistakes in their forms. Additionally, candidates were required to verify their photographs and key documents such as Aadhaar or category certificates to confirm their candidature.
One important update concerns exam rules: virtual calculators will not be allowed during the test, clearing confusion from earlier announcements. Candidates are advised to ensure that all their details and documents are correct ahead of the exam.
With more exam centers added nationwide, the NTA has emphasized adherence to guidelines to ensure smooth conduct of the examination. Students appearing for JEE Main 2026 are encouraged to regularly check official notifications for further updates.
