Yerevan Haybusak University (YHU), established in 1991 by Academician Levon Harutyunyan, is one of the first and largest private institutions in Armenia. Located in the capital city of Yerevan, the university is officially accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia and is globally recognized by major bodies including the World Health Organization (WHO) and the National Medical Commission (NMC) of India.
The MBBS program (awarded as the MD – Doctor of Medicine) is the university’s flagship medical course, spanning a duration of 6 years which includes 5 years of academic study and 1 year of mandatory clinical internship. Taught entirely in English for international students, the curriculum follows the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) and is designed to prepare students for global licensing exams such as the USMLE (USA), PLAB (UK), and NExT (India).
