The National Institute of Technology Nagaland (NIT Nagaland), established in 2010, is an Institute of National Importance located at Chumukedima, near Dimapur. As one of the ten newly sanctioned NITs under the 11th Five-Year Plan, it has quickly developed into a key technical hub for the North-Eastern region.
The B.Tech program at NIT Nagaland is the institute’s flagship academic offering, providing four-year degrees in six core branches: Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Instrumentation, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering. Admission for the 2026 session is conducted through the JoSAA/CSAB counseling process based on JEE Main performance, with a mandatory 75% aggregate in 10+2 for general candidates.

NIT Nagaland BTech admission is based on JEE Main scores followed by JoSAA/CSAB counseling, requiring a minimum of 75% in Class 12 (65% for SC/ST/PwD). 50% of seats are reserved for home state (Nagaland) and 50% for other states, with selection finalized through seat allotment, document verification, and fees.
