Established in 1972 as the first medical school in Nepal, the Maharajgunj Medical Campus (MMC) is the flagship constituent campus of the Institute of Medicine (IOM) under Tribhuvan University. Located in Kathmandu, it is widely regarded as the country’s premier institution for medical education and research, attracting the top-ranked students from the National Medical Education Common Entrance Examination (MECEE).
Beyond its academic prestige, MMC offers a comprehensive suite of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including Bachelor’s degrees in Dental Surgery (BDS), Pharmacy, Nursing, Optometry, and various Allied Health Sciences, supported by a faculty of over 1,200 experts.
