Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), established in 1965 in the heart of Mumbai’s financial district, Churchgate, is the Department of Management Studies of the University of Mumbai. Popularly known as the “CEO Factory” of India, JBIMS has a storied legacy of producing industry titans like Uday Kotak and Chanda Kochhar.
The flagship Master of Management Studies (MMS) program—equivalent to an MBA—is a two-year, full-time residential course that emphasizes decision-making and entrepreneurial leadership. The curriculum is uniquely structured with a common foundation year, followed by specialized tracks in the second year, including Finance, Marketing, Operations & Supply Chain, Human Resources, and Systems & Digital Business.

JBIMS MBA admission requires a bachelor’s degree (50%+) and valid scores from MAH-MBA-CET (preferred), CAT, CMAT, or GMAT. Admission is based on the Maharashtra State CET Cell’s Centralized Admission Process (CAP). Candidates must register for CAP, fill in preferences, and typically achieve a 99.9+ percentile for top seats.
