The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) is a State University located in the picturesque town of Awantipora, Pulwama, in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It was established through an Act of the J&K State Legislature in November 2005, with the teaching programs formally beginning in July 2006. Recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by bodies like AICTE, IUST aims to be a center for higher learning, promoting science, technology, humanities, and social sciences.
The university offers a diverse range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across various schools of study, including the School of Technology, School of Business Studies, and School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Additionally, the university has recently introduced B.Tech. programs in Food Technology and Robotics & Automation.
