Bangladesh Medical College Hospital

Bangladesh Medical College (BMC), established in 1986 in Dhaka, is the first and oldest private medical college in Bangladesh. Affiliated with the University of Dhaka, it is recognized by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BM&DC) and listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WHO). The institution is highly regarded for its academic excellence and urban campus in Dhanmondi.

The MBBS program at BMC is a 5-year course followed by a mandatory 1-year internship, fully aligning with the NMC (India) and BM&DC guidelines. The medium of instruction is English, and the curriculum is nearly identical to that of Indian medical colleges, which contributes to one of the highest FMGE (Screening Test) pass rates for international graduates.
