National Institute of Technology (NIT) Meghalaya, established in 2010, is an “Institute of National Importance” and one of the premier technical institutions in Northeast India. Currently operating from its temporary campus in Shillong while completing its permanent 300-acre campus in Sohra (Cherrapunjee), the institute is highly ranked, consistently appearing within the top 100 engineering colleges in India (NIRF).

Post-allotment, students must complete online document verification, pay fees, and undergo physical reporting at the institute.
